I'd like my car scrambled...with bacon.
i got in a car accident on tuesday. rearended a woman on the freeway going about 60mph. when someone up ahead slammed on their breaks, the car in front of me went to the left, the car in front of him went to the right, and i locked my breaks and steering wheel and slid straight into the car in front of them. amazingly enough, there was no obvious damage other than her license plate cover was cracked. this is my first accident since highschool and the first one that didn't bring me to tears. my hand shook as i gave her my insurance information, but otherwise i felt like a real grown-up. i went right home, called my insurance company, and headed to Denny's.
well, maybe not that night. i'm not sure. but in the last week i've had scrambled eggs and bacon at least 5 times. maybe i need more protein in my diet, or maybe it's my new comfort food. but i made a vow on my breakfast this morning at IHOP, that it would be my last greasy binge for awhile. to borrow and mutilate a line from Emma, 'i may not be able to control my car, but i can certainly control my cravings.'
